Task: Working in groups of 3 or 4 people, locate a single large-scale housing development anywhere in the UAE that is completed or in-progress. Search for information about this project with an emphasis on primary sources (developers, planners, residents, owners, etc.).
Goal: The main goal is to characterize and analyze the development as a case study for the relationship between planning and housing policies and how they reflect housing policy concepts discussed in class, including but not limited to: affordability, ownership/rent models, financial tools, land use, sustainability, infrastructure, transit, accessibility, densities, and housing typologies.
